Job Title: Registered Nurse First Assist Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years RN experience required License: WV or Compact License - Pending License Accepted Certifications: BLS Required Must-Have: Robotics, Thoracic, Urology experience Description: Registered Nurse First Assist needed for the Operating Room. Candidates must be travelers with start dates 30-60 days out. RNFAs must go through Medical Affairs credentialing, which can take 30-60 days. Please do not submit any candidates who wish to start within three weeks. Shifts will be 4x10s from 06:45 to 17:15, including some weekday and weekend on-call duties. This position requires experience in Robotics, Urology, and Thoracic procedures. General OR experience is preferred but not required. Candidates must be willing to participate in a self-scheduled call, which may include weeknights and weekends. Weekend coverage is required. All candidates must provide medical proof of flu vaccination unless exempt. Covid vaccination is not required. Candidates must submit a complete application containing a profile, skills checklist, references, and license verification. Previous employees cannot return to the facility as travelers for two years after their last day of work. Submissions must comply with all documentation requirements. Full application files are due by noon on the Monday prior to the start date. Insufficient documentation may result in delayed start dates. Certification verification must be current and submitted with applications. Candidates should have no previous probationary actions on their licenses unless approved on a case-by-case basis. Current employees of the health system are not eligible for travel contracts. Modules must be completed prior to starting, and may vary by specialty. Modules are non-billable and should take an average of 2-6 hours.
