Travel Nurse RN - Registered Nurse First Assistant - $3,104 per week in Rochester, NY

Job Title: OR RNFA - Robotics Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 17 weeks Shift: 3x12.0 Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Two (2) years of Operating Room experience preferred License: RN License (New York License ONLY) Certifications: - BLS (American Heart Association ONLY) - ACLS preferred (American Heart Association ONLY) - CNOR Certification Must-Have: - Da Vinci Robotic surgery experience required - Completion of an accredited RN First Assistant course - CNOR certification Description: The RN First Assistant (RNFA) is a highly trained Registered Nurse. The RNFA must have both CNOR certification and have completed an RNFA program. The RNFA collaborates with the surgeon and the healthcare team in performing safe operations with optimal outcomes for patients. The RNFA practices perioperative nursing and must acquire the necessary knowledge, skills, and judgment specific to the clinical practice in the operating room and in the RNFA role. The RNFA operates in collaboration with and under the direction of the surgeon during the operative phase of the perioperative experience. When not assigned to the RNFA role, the RN will also perform duties of the OR staff RN. Robotic surgery experience is preferred and proficiency in perioperative nursing practices is expected. This position may involve evening call responsibilities and rotating holiday requirements. There are no weekend commitments for this role. Experience in scrubbing and circulating is preferred.
