Registered Nurse – First Assist / RNFA

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Days (3x12 Hours, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Perform first assist duties in cardiac, vascular, endovascular, and thoracic surgical procedures
- Float within scope of practice to the main OR and other areas as departmental needs require
- Participate in on-call rotation, including one call day per week and approximately one call weekend every four weeks
- Maintain compliance with all onboarding, orientation, and credentialing requirements within established deadlines
- Complete specialty-specific orientation modules as assigned during the onboarding period
Required Qualifications- Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license at time of submission
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse First Assist
- Demonstrated experience in cardiac, vascular, endovascular, or thoracic surgical settings
- Active CSFA, NBSTSA, or NCCSA certification (hard requirement)
- Ability to complete a privileging/credentialing process prior to start (approximate timeline: 3–4 months from contract signature)
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior travel nursing experience in a surgical or perioperative setting
- Familiarity with bi-weekly hospital orientation schedules and compliance-driven onboarding processes
