    TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified RNFA RN in Rochester, New York, 14642!

    Job Title

    Cardiac OR RNFA – Registered Nurse First Assistant (Level 4)

    Location

    New York, NY

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Days | 36–48 hours per week | Primarily weekdays 7:00 AM–7:00 PM and 11:00 AM–11:00 PM | On-call responsibilities per unit need

    Key Responsibilities
    • Assist with chest exposure and closing during cardiac surgical procedures
    • Independently perform vein harvesting for coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) procedures
    • First assist in complex cardiac cases including CABGs, structural heart cases (e.g., Bentall), minimally invasive procedures (e.g., Mini Aortic Valve Replacement), and heart failure cases (e.g., Impella)
    • Participate in heart transplant procedures as needed
    • Fulfill on-call responsibilities as required by unit needs
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum 2 years of cardiac RNFA experience
    • Active New York State (NYS) Registered Nurse license
    • CNOR certification
    • Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    • Current AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
    • Telemetry competency
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience first assisting in DaVinci robotic surgical cases
    • Ability to scrub and circulate complex cardiac cases
    • Experience with heart transplant procedures
