Travel Nurse RN - Rehab - $1,465 per week in Corpus Christi, TX

The role requires working in a unit with 15 beds and 18 staff members. The day shift comprises 1 charge nurse, 2 registered nurses, and 1 certified nursing assistant. The night shift consists of 1 charge nurse, 2 registered nurses, and 1 certified nursing assistant. Patient ratios are 5:1, with a maximum of 6:1. Equipment commonly used includes vital sign machines, transfer equipment, EKGs, and bladder scanners. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech and Pyxis. The ideal candidate should be skilled in patient transfers, bladder scans, dressing changes, and medication administration. Teamwork and the ability to take initiative are critical personality traits for success in this role. The position may require floating to various areas including Med-Surge, Tele, Renal, Urology, Orthopedic, and Overflow Units. Shifts may require working every other weekend and holidays. On-call duty is seldom required, unless overall hospital census is low. Candidates without the required skills will not be considered for this role. Preferred candidates will have prior rehabilitation experience and knowledge of rehabilitation scoring documentation.
