Travel Nurse RN - Rehab - $1,858 per week in Salem, VA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Rehabilitation Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Valid state nursing license Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Med/Surg or PCU experience - BLS certification - Valid state nursing license Description: This position is for an inpatient rehabilitation unit. The unit has 35 beds and a patient ratio of 5-7:1. Staffing typically includes 2-4 techs depending on census. Available equipment includes vitals machines, Baxter IV pumps, SCDs, and bladder scanners. The documentation system used is Meditech. Scheduling requirements include 12-hour shifts with every other weekend. Staff may be floated to other medical-surgical departments as needed. Rehabilitation experience is preferred but not required. The unit performs various procedures, including medication administration (IVs, PICC, PEG tube), bladder scans, trach care, tube feeding, Foley catheter insertion, bladder irrigation, and blood administration. The dress code requires navy blue or white solid scrubs. There is an opportunity to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and physicians to positively impact patient functional improvements and achieve goals for functional independence.
