Travel Nurse RN - Rehab - $1,858 per week in Salem, VA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Rehabilitation Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active Virginia License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Med/Surg or PCU experience Description: This position involves working in an inpatient rehabilitation unit. The unit has a total of 35 beds with patient ratios of 5-7:1. Staffing includes 2-4 techs depending on census. Equipment includes vitals machines, IV pumps, SCDs, and bladder scanners. Documentation is completed using an electronic health record system. Scheduling consists of 12-hour shifts, including every other weekend. Floating to other departments may be required. Preferred experience includes rehabilitation nursing. Essential procedures performed on this unit include medication administration, IVs, PICC, and PEG tube administration. Other skills include bladder scans, trach care, tube feeding, Foley catheter insertion, and blood administration. The dress code is navy blue or white solid scrubs. This role provides an opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and physicians. The focus is on impacting patient functional improvements and helping them achieve their goals for functional independence.
