License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Med-Surg or inpatient rehabilitation experience Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Rehabilitation Unit. The facility is a free-standing, acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital. Specialized programs are available for patients who have experienced strokes, brain and spinal-cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic injuries. The goal is to help patients achieve their highest level of recovery with the aim of returning home as soon as possible. The focus is on maximizing health, function, and quality of life through comprehensive rehabilitation programs. The facility is accredited by The Joint Commission and has a comprehensive integrated inpatient rehabilitation program. The nursing staff is required to assist in high-acuity situations and collaborate with C.N.As to ensure patient safety. All nurses will need to participate actively in patient care, including responding to call lights. The unit has 49 beds, and the nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:7. Equipment used includes mobility equipment such as ceiling lifts, slide boards, and monitoring machines. The electronic health record system utilized is EPIC. Patient population includes adults requiring inpatient rehabilitation services with high-acuity needs. Every other weekend and holiday rotations are part of the schedule. Call requirements may be applicable. Attendance policies must be adhered to, ensuring timely and reliable presence at work. Mandatory 30-minute breaks are required, along with two 15-minute paid breaks during a 12-hour shift. The staff is not permitted to stay past the scheduled shift end time without prior approval.
