Job Summary: The Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Floor specialty position is located in an acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital environment. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with neurological, orthopedic, pulmonary, and other complex conditions. The position begins on 10/12/2026 and ends on 01/11/2027, requiring dedication to patient recovery and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Job Details:
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting from 10/12/2026 through 01/11/2027
Required Qualifications: 2 years of experience in nursing, valid state license (compact license accepted), minimum 1-year travel or clinical experience in acute rehabilitation settings, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), and experience in acute inpatient rehab, blood and blood products administration, ports management, central line care, and neurological disorders.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, orthopedic conditions, and multi-trauma.
Float: Float rotation may be required depending on patient census.
Additional Information: Candidates should be comfortable participating in interdisciplinary therapy sessions, including PT, OT, and SLP, and managing complex neurological and orthopedic cases. Compliance with assigned module completions during orientation is expected.
