Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a registered nurse specializing in Medical Surgical Rehabilitation on the inpatient rehabilitation unit located in Smithville, Missouri. This position involves providing comprehensive patient care for adults and geriatrics with pulmonary, cardiac, neurological, and orthopedic conditions. The role requires delivering high-quality nursing care with a focus on patient safety, recovery, and education.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Missouri registered nurse license, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, minimum of 2 years of experience, experience with a patient ratio of 1:6, proficiency with charting in Epic, and prior inpatient rehab or acute inpatient hospital experience preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing pulmonary and cardiac conditions, neuro/CVA, orthopedic recovery, and ability to perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and respiratory treatments as ordered.
• Float: Primary unit is inpatient rehab but may float within scope to other units including emergency department to meet facility needs.
• Additional Information: The RN must be capable of managing BiPAP/CPAP devices, assistive devices, and demonstrate competency in multiple clinical procedures including feeding tube management, wound care, and medication administration. Must be able to manage chronic conditions and perform patient assessments as part of routine care.
