Job Summary: The inpatient rehabilitation unit in a general hospital setting is seeking a qualified healthcare professional to join their team. The position involves working on a medical surgical rehabilitation floor, providing patient care in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will contribute to the recovery and rehabilitation of patients with diverse needs.
Job Details:
Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS); Healthcare Professional with zero years of experience required; located in Rochester, New Hampshire, with at least 1 year of healthcare experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with wound care, stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI); candidates with these skills will be considered first
Float: Float rotation may be required to other units such as Cardiac Care Unit (CCU), Medical Surgical (Med Surg), and Emergency Room (ER)
Additional Information: The unit is composed of 19 beds with a staffing ratio of approximately 6:1 depending on patient census. Equipment includes mechanical lifts, sara steady, Baxter pumps, Kangaroo pumps, and Meditech electronic medical records system. The role involves flexibility, kindness, and thoroughness, with guidelines and policies available for review. Staff are expected to work every other weekend and may participate in on-call rotations.
