Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join an Acute Rehabilitation team on a 13-week contract assignment. The RN will provide compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals recovering from surgery, illness, injury, neurological conditions, and other complex medical needs. This role requires collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to promote patient recovery, restore functional independence, and ensure safe discharge planning.
Responsibilities
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
Monitor patient progress and respond promptly to changes in condition.
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders.
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals.
Educate patients and families regarding rehabilitation goals, medications, and discharge instructions.
Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and quality standards.
Provide compassionate support while encouraging patient participation in rehabilitation.
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Current BLS certification.
Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience.
Previous Acute Rehabilitation, Med-Surg, or related inpatient nursing experience preferred.
Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
