Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Floor in Madison, Wisconsin. This position involves providing high-acuity inpatient rehabilitation care to adult patients recovering from conditions such as stroke, brain and spinal-cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic injuries. The role requires adaptability to a medical-surgical environment, collaborating with a team dedicated to maximizing patient recovery and quality of life.

Job Details:

  • Shift: 12-hour night shifts, starting at 6:30 p.m. and ending at 7:00 a.m., with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Nursing license, BLS certification, at least 1 year of nursing experience in skilled nursing or other 24/7 skilled care environment, experience in Med-Surg or inpatient rehabilitation related to patient acuity.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Inpatient rehabilitation or Med-Surg experience aligned with patient acuity.
  • Float: Not currently required; may be required to float to a satellite inpatient rehabilitation facility within 20 minutes in the near future.
  • Additional Information: The inpatient rehab hospital functions similarly to a medical-surgical unit, with high-acuity needs at times. All nursing staff are expected to assist Clinical Nursing Assistants and respond to call lights to ensure patient safety. Orientation sessions are scheduled periodically starting January 6, 2026.
