Description:
We are seeking a qualified and student-centered Registered Nurse to support the health, safety, and academic success of all students.
The Registered Nurse provides leadership for school health services and delivers nursing care.
The RN manages student health needs and collaborates with school staff, families, and community providers.
Services must comply with district policies, regulations, and professional nursing standards.
This role includes providing comprehensive school nursing services to students, including assessment, intervention, follow-up, and referral.
The RN will administer medications and treatments according to physician orders, district policy, and state law while maintaining accurate documentation.
The RN will develop, implement, and monitor Individual Health Care Plans, Emergency Action Plans, as well as health-related components of educational plans.
Assessment and management of students with chronic health conditions, disabilities, and acute illnesses will be conducted.
The RN will serve as the primary health resource for the school community and consult with various staff members.
In medical emergencies, the RN will provide first aid and nursing care and coordinate emergency responses as needed.
Clinical guidance and supervision will be provided to other assigned health staff.
Confidential student health records must be maintained in compliance with regulations and district policies.
The RN will support infection prevention and control practices throughout the school environment.
Effective communication with families, healthcare providers, and community agencies regarding student health needs is essential.
Participation in staff meetings, professional development, and required training is expected.
Assistance with health oversight of school activities, transportation, and athletics will be part of the responsibilities.
Additional duties may be assigned as consistent with the scope of professional nursing practice and district needs.
