This position plays a critical role in ensuring the student’s health and safety within the school environment. The nurse will work collaboratively with school staff, service providers, and families to support the student throughout the school day. The nurse will provide direct nursing care to the student in accordance with physician orders and nursing care plans. Monitoring the student’s health status and responding appropriately to medical needs is essential. The nurse will administer medications and medical treatments as prescribed. Supporting safe participation in academic, social, and school-based activities is also part of the role.
