Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

Join a dynamic and fast-paced 15-bed Surgical/Trauma Intensive Care Unit (STICU) dedicated to providing exceptional care for adult critical care patients. As part of a Level 1 facility, you will play a vital role in the treatment and recovery of patients in need of surgical and trauma care.

Job Details

  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Hours: Options for 36 or 48 hours per week
  • Shift: Night shifts, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
  • Schedule: Every other weekend required; must work 2 out of the 3 winter holidays

Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse in the STICU, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing high-quality care for a diverse patient population in a fast-paced environment
  • Monitoring and managing patient needs and treatment plans
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Adhering to established protocols and standards of care
  • Participating in ongoing education and professional development

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Experience with Epic electronic health record (EHR) system
  • Ability to float to other units as per facility policy
  • Must be available for all scheduled shifts, including weekends and holidays

Additional Information
