Job Opportunity – Stepdown / Immediate Care Unit RN – West Virginia

Location: Morgantown, West Virginia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 3x12 night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, weekdays with some weekends. Blocked schedules available (weekend blocks only: Friday/Saturday/Sunday or Saturday/Sunday/Monday). Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4, flexing to 1:5 in emergencies.
Highlights:
13-week contract with strong possibility of extension
Stepdown unit with varying acuity levels, including progressive care and telemetry patients
Primary patient population is cardiac, including post-cardiac surgery and interventional cardiology procedures, plus general medical-surgical patients
Cerner EMR system
Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
36-bed unit with 8-hour orientation provided
Requirements:
Active West Virginia or Compact RN license (pending license accepted for submission)
Minimum 2 years RN experience required; 1 year Med-Surg/Telemetry and 2 years Stepdown experience preferred
Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association required)
Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and ability to read cardiac strips
Experience with Cerner charting system required
Minimum of 2 manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years
Permanent address must be 100+ miles from facility
Professional attire: burgundy and/or white scrubs (not provided)
