**Job Description:**
- **Position**: Registered Nurse (RN)
- **Specialty**: Step Down/PCU
- **Location**: Springfield, MO
- **Shift**: Nights, 1900-0700
- **Assignment Length**: 13 weeks
- **Weekly Guaranteed Hours**: 36 or 48 – please indicate preference on submission
- **Number of Openings**: 1
- **Required Licensure**: Current RN License (eligible or licensed in Missouri)
- **Required Certifications**: BLS and ACLS from AHA only
- **Experience**: Minimum of 1 year in Step Down/PCU
**Unit Information:**
- **Number of Beds**: 26
- **Patient Ratios**: 3:1 or 4:1
- **Equipment**: Philips monitors, chest tubes, art lines, wound vacs, pacer boxes, pacing wires, drains, EKOS, Nicom, BIPAP, Airvo
- **EMR**: EPIC
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Utilize the nursing process to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Provide comprehensive assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation for all age groups.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care and comfort.
- Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of information.
**Ideal Candidate:**
- Must possess strong skills in Step Down/PCU nursing.
- Experience with cardiac/thoracic surgery, vascular surgery, alcohol withdrawal, respiratory distress, and insulin drips is preferred.
- Be a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
**Work Environment:**
- Comfortable completing physical tasks, including lifting and turning patients.
- High-risk exposure to blood and body fluids.
- May be required to work various shifts based on patient needs.
