## Exciting Opportunity for Stepdown RN **Job Description:** - **Position:** Stepdown RN - **Department:** Step Down Unit - **Shift:** Nights, 3 x 12 - **Weekly Guaranteed Hours:** 36 - **Assignment Length:** 13 weeks - **Weekend Hours:** Rotating every other week **Key Responsibilities:** - Utilize the nursing process to provide exceptional patient care. - Maintain professional accountability for the provision of patient care. - Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. - Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments. - Uphold patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. - Perform duties consistently with Mercy Service Standards and values. **Qualifications:** - **Required Licensure:** Current RN License (eligible for licensure in Missouri or currently licensed in Missouri) - **Required Certifications:** BLS, ACLS - **Experience:** 1+ years of stepdown nursing **Unit Information:** - **Type of Patients:** Neuro Medical Surgical - **Patient Ratios:** Standard to unit - **Equipment:** Standard nursing equipment - **EMR:** EPIC **Hiring Profile:** - **Must Have Skills/Experience:** Stepdown - **Preferred Skillset/Experience:** Team player, versatile, flexible, excellent communication skills, and ability to get along well with others. **Dress Code:** - **Scrub Color:** Black - **Unacceptable Attire:** Anything other than black scrubs **Facility Overview:** - Mercy Hospital Jefferson is a 251-bed acute care facility located in Festus, MO.
