Key Responsibilities of the Travel Stepdown Registered Nurse:

Provide skilled nursing care to patients transitioning from intensive care to medical-surgical units
Monitor and manage patients requiring continuous cardiac or hemodynamic observation
Administer and titrate medications, including vasoactive drips, per physician orders
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust individualized care plans
Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and progress in EMR systems
Educate patients and families on care plans, treatments, and recovery expectations
Uphold infection control standards and ensure compliance with hospital safety policies

Requirements of the Travel Stepdown Registered Nurse:

Active RN license (West Virginia or compact state)
BLS, ACLS and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum of 2 years of recent Stepdown or Progressive Care RN experience in an acute care setting
Strong critical thinking, assessment, and telemetry interpretation skills
