Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 36 or 48 hours per week (3x12 or 4x12), weekdays with every other weekend required. Float coverage within scope as needed to meet facility needs.

Highlights:

• Level 1 Trauma Center with 37-bed unit including 25 medical/surgical telemetry trauma beds, 6 intermediate care stepdown beds, and 6 pediatric beds
• Multidisciplinary team approach caring for multi-system trauma and surgical patients with diverse case mix including orthopedic trauma, traumatic brain injuries, and spinal cord injuries
• Stepdown unit ratios of 1:3; floor ratios of 1:5 (travelers typically assigned to adult populations)
• Cerner EMR system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, and pharmacy
• 36-hour guaranteed contract with flexible 36 or 48-hour weekly options
• Open to accommodating blocked schedule requests; orientation held bi-weekly on Thursdays

Requirements:

• Active West Virginia or Compact RN License (pending license accepted for submission)
• Minimum 2 years total RN experience; minimum 1 year specialty experience in PCU, IMC, Trauma, or Stepdown preferred
• BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association); CPI certification required; TNCC preferred
• Fit test completion required in advance; flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only during flu season October 1 - March 31)
• Skills: IV start, telemetry monitoring, ventilator management, Level 1 trauma experience, conscious sedation, chest tubes, wound vac, central line management, and blood product administration
• Minimum 2 manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years
• Must reside 100+ miles from facility (75-99 miles considered case-by-case)
