Critical Care Stepdown Registered Nurse (CCST / Stepdown RN) – Night Shift

  • Schedule: Night Shift | 4x12-Hour Shifts | 19:00 – 07:30 | 48 Guaranteed Hours Per Week
    • Schedule & Holiday Protocol: Every-other-weekend (EOW) and every-other-holiday (EOH) coverage required. No block scheduling allowed.
    • Floating Protocol: Floating required to related progressive care / telemetry units as needed.
    • Assignment Duration: 13-Week Contract | 1 Open Position | Job ID: 3478841 | Start Date: 10/19/2026

Submission Hardstops [STRICT & NON-NEGOTIABLE]

  • Experience Baseline & Work Setting [HARDSTOP]: Minimum 2+ years of recent Critical Care Stepdown / PCU RN experience required [HARDSTOP]. Community hospital experience required(strong candidates without community hospital experience can be screened).
  • Clinical Competency Scope [HARDSTOP]: Direct mastery in managing high-acuity cardiac telemetry, non-invasive respiratory support (BiPAP/CPAP/Vapotherm), procedural sedation monitoring, chest tubes, TR band management, and post-vascular/post-cardiac catheterization recovery [HARDSTOP].
  • State Licensure [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION]: Active New York State RN License [HARDSTOP].
  • Certifications [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION - ALL 3 REQUIRED]:
    • Active AHA BLS (Basic Life Support — AHA ONLY) certification [HARDSTOP].
    • Active AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support — AHA ONLY) certification [HARDSTOP].
    • Active NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification [HARDSTOP].
  • EMR & Medication Systems: Direct proficiency with Allscripts EMR and Pyxis medication dispensing systems preferred.
  • Immunization Mandates: COVID-19 and annual Flu vaccines required (facility allows approved medical/religious exemption applications).
