Schedule: Night shift, 36 or 48 hours per week; 4:1 patient ratio; orientation of 36 hours provided

Highlights:

• 13 to 26 week contract options available with potential for extension
• Cardiac stepdown unit with 22 beds and daily census of 20 patients
• Patient population includes STEMI, NSTEMI, CHF, pacemaker placement, defibrillator placement, ablations, arrhythmias, CVA, and medical telemetry overflow
• Epic EMR system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Pre-assignment modules are billable up to 16 hours
• Flu vaccination required; COVID-19 vaccination not required

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of registered nursing experience
• 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
• Current RN license in good standing
• AHA ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Must pass medication and arrhythmia examinations
• Strong cardiac stepdown experience with competency in telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip titration, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, post-MI care, pre/post cardiac catheterization care, central line management, chest tube care, and blood product administration
• Must reside 50 miles or more from the facility for night shift cardiac telemetry positions
