**Join Our Dynamic Cardiac Stepdown Team!** **Job Description:** - **Location:** 2333 McCallie Avenue, Chattanooga, TN 30404 - **Unit Name:** 3West Cardiac - **Unit Size:** 30 beds - **Patient Ratio:** 5-6:1 - **Staffing Structure:** - Unit Clerk on days - 2-3 Patient Care Technicians (PCT’s) on day & night shifts - Nursing Supervisor and Hospitalists - **Cutting-Edge Equipment:** - Welch Allyn vitals neuron - Novameter glucose monitor - Philips Telemetry and MP2’s - **Documentation System:** Meditech-HCA version - **Medication Management:** WOW with med drawers and PyxisES dispensing system - **Scheduling Expectations:** - Equivalent of every other weekend (4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule) - **Floating Policy:** - May float to other medical/surgical areas such as General M/S, Ortho, PCU, and M/S surgical with oncology as needed - **Patient Experience Commitment:** - Bedside Rounding - Hourly Rounding with 5 P’s - Coordination with PCT’s regarding known patient needs - Regularly check glass board for departmental focus areas - Access to scrolling video kiosk and email updates - **Clinical Certifications Required:** - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - BLS (Basic Life Support) - NIH Stroke Certification - **Advanced Skills Needed:** Knowledge of: - Heparin - Cardizem - Dobutamine - Dopamine - Amiodarone drips - **Procedures Performed on Unit:** - Chest Tube management - Wound vac management - EKG’s as needed - **Dress Code:** - RN: Navy scrubs - CNA/PCT: Ceil blue scrub set and jacket (optional) - T-shirts may be white, blue, grey, or black (no graphics) - No artificial or gel nails or gel nail polish - **Unit Policies:** - Document telemetry application and rhythm strips in the chart each shift - Maintain NO PASS ZONE for bed alarms, call lights, IV alarms, etc. - **Team Recognition:** - Celebrate our Charge Nurses with years of experience ranging from 12 to 39 years! - Participate in awards programs including Daisy and Bee Awards, and iHEAL nominations **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
