Job Title: RN - Cardiovascular Stepdown
Location (On-site, Remote, or Hybrid?): Waukesha, WI (onsite)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Work Hours: 7PM - 7:30AM
Total Weekly Hours: 36
**Strong Cardio/Heart Care Experience needed - 1+ years exp
**Will take an ICU nurse if comfortable with patient ratios 1:4-5 HCU RN - NOCs Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: 5/5 next orientation
Guaranteed Hours Per Week: 36 hours per week

Shift Requirements: 12hr NOCs; Every other weekend and holiday rotation
Float Requirements: Oconomowoc Memorial and/or Mukwonago if needed.
On Call/Call Back Requirements: None
Required Certifications to be Attached upon Submittal: WI or Compact RN, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS
Minimum Experience: 1 year of cardiac experience - 2 plus years MS experience. At least 1 travel contract completed preferred.
Experience must be short term acute care hospital experience
Charting Experience Required: Current Epic within 12 months
Required Skillset: must be comfortable with rhythm interpretation and be familiar with routine cardiac care for patient populations such as open heart surgical, arrhythmia, chest pain, cardiac procedural patients, heart failure, acute MI s, etc.- WILL TAKE AN ICU RN IF COMFORTABLE WITH PATIENT RATIOS Nurses on the night shift typically have 4-5 patients
Unit Information (Bed size, Case type, Patient ratio):HCU is considered an intermediate care unit and sees a variety of patients other than cardiac such as sepsis, respiratory failure, stroke, etc.
31 beds. Patient populations include: heart failure, heart surgery and other thoracic surgeries, pacemaker placements, ablations, TAVRs, cardiac caths, MI, hypertension urgency, sepsis, respiratory failure, strokes, and many medical overflow patients as well. Nurses on the night shift typically have 4-5 patients

Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where unit is closed Float: Employee should not be asked to work outside of his/her Clinical skills unless approved by employee, unit manager, shift advisor, and Staffency. Candidate will be required to float to units and facilities based on census.
