The role requires a commitment to providing high-quality care to critically ill patients. The nurse will manage multiple IV drips and provide airway management as needed. Experience in managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure is crucial. This nurse should be proficient in the care of ventilated patients and blood product administration. The candidate must be able to interpret arterial blood gases and manage dysrhythmias. Floating to a step down unit may be required based on facility needs. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. This position will have a patient ratio of 2:1 for days and nights. The unit provides interdisciplinary support from various specialties as needed. The expected daily census is 19 patients, with a total of 23 beds available. Candidates must hold certification in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS. The position is open to first-time travelers and those with pending licenses, provided it is active prior to the start date.
