The role involves caring for patients who have undergone various surgical procedures. It is expected to provide high-quality care for post-operative surgical recovery patients. Nursing responsibilities include managing ventilated patients, blood product administration, and monitoring hemodynamics. Nurses will also handle central line care and administer continuous IV sedation as needed. Experience with transplant patients is required, particularly in recovery settings. Candidates must be comfortable floating to other ICUs and step-down units when necessary. The facility operates with a patient census of 28 and has 33 rooms. An interdisciplinary team will support patient care needs. In emergencies, there may be an expectation to remain onsite to assist with patient care.
