Beds: 48
RN-to-Patient Ratio: 1:4; may increase to 1:5 or 1:6 based on unit needs
Nursing Assistant Ratio: 1:8
Patient Population: Primarily adults with:
Hematologic/oncologic conditions
Immunocompromised conditions
Radiation complications
Cardiac arrhythmias
Complex fluid and medication management
Single- and multi-system complications
Nursing staff analyze cardiac rhythms independently; no monitor technicians
Ancillary staff available
Clinical Skills
Chemotherapy administration
Continuous infusion medication management
Pain management
Wound VAC and dressing changes
Wound drains
Central lines
Tracheostomy care
Chest tubes
IV starts
Peripheral lab draws
Arterial blood draws
Cardiac, insulin, and heparin drips
Cardiac monitoring
