Job Summary Telemetry Nurse in Tyler, Texas. This full-time night shift position involves working 3 consecutive 12-hour shifts on a block schedule in a 36-bed medical unit. The role requires experience in telemetry and charting with Epic (experience required). The facility offers a collaborative environment with interdisciplinary support to optimize patient care.
Job Details
Shift: Nights, 3x12 hours - Block Schedule
Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), certified in charting with Epic, Texas state license or compact license in hand at time of submittal, and at least 1-year experience in telemetry nursing.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in trauma level I units and prior travel experience.
Float: Float rotation may be required to units of equal acuity.
Additional Information:
The unit supports adult and geriatric patients in a 36-bed facility.
Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, and rapid response teams.
Patient Ratios: 1:6 during nights.
Prior to start, completion of core onboarding items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing is required, with onsite modules during orientation.
UT does not contract travelers residing in specified counties.
Previous staff must wait 1 year before returning as travelers.
