The RN will be responsible for taking care of patients with a significant history of cardiac disease or related processes. These positions were opened to help stabilize staffing for this telemetry unit. Traveling RNs will assist with staffing and may help precept new hires as core positions are recruited. Typical disease processes include chest pain, congestive heart failure, advanced heart failure, syncope, and patients requiring echocardiograms, stress tests, or diagnostic and interventional heart catheterization. This unit also handles procedures such as Mitraclip, Watchman, Tykosyn initiation, and TAVR. Additionally, the unit may overflow generalized med/surg patients or care for other non-cardiac patients as required.
