Travel Nurse RN - Telemetry - $1,570 per week in Austin, TX

Job Title: RN Telemetry I Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 AM - 07:15 PM Hours per Shift: 13 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Valid nursing license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Certification Must-Have: Cardiac-trained RN with a high degree of engagement and willingness to train others. Description: The RN will be responsible for taking care of patients with significant histories of cardiac disease or related processes. This position is intended to help stabilize staffing for a 30-bed acute care cardiac telemetry unit. The RN will be expected to assist in precepting new hires as recruitment for core positions occurs. Typical disease processes include chest pain, congestive heart failure, advanced heart failure, syncope, and patients requiring echocardiograms, stress tests, and/or diagnostic and interventional heart catheterization. The unit also manages patients undergoing procedures such as Mitraclip, Watchman, Tykosyn initiation, and TAVR. Additionally, the unit accommodates overflow from other medical/surgical patients as needed or may care for non-cardiac patients as required. Staffing guidelines will typically be at a ratio of 5:1.
