Job Title: RN Telemetry I Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 13.5 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Certification Must-Have: Cardiac-trained RNs High degree of engagement and willingness to train others Description: This position involves caring for patients with significant histories of cardiac disease or related processes. The unit is a 30-bed Acute Care Cardiac Telemetry unit. Typical disease processes include chest pain, congestive heart failure, advanced heart failure, and syncope. Patients requiring echocardiograms, stress tests, and/or diagnostic and interventional heart catheterizations will also be cared for in this unit. Additionally, the unit handles patients with procedures such as Mitraclip, Watchman, Tykosyn initiation, and TAVR. Staff may be required to float to medical/surgical patients as needed or take care of other non-cardiac patients as required.
