Job Title: RN - Telemetry Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of current hospital Telemetry experience License: Current Registered Nurse license Certifications: BLS & ACLS Must-Have: Candidates must have minimum 1-year current hospital Telemetry experience. Candidates must possess BLS and ACLS certifications. Description: This position is for a Telemetry RN on the night shift. The unit specializes in telemetry and has a capacity of 32 beds. Staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 4-8 RNs, 2 floor nursing assistants, and 1 sitter on the night shift. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 4 or 5:1. Key equipment in use includes a GE Telemetry system and the EMR is Meditech. Candidates with experience caring for post-op CABG patients are preferred. The ideal candidate will be outgoing, a team player, and willing to take initiative. Skills such as IV and foley catheter starts and chest tube removal are performed on this unit.
