Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: State or Compact license required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Charting experience with Epic - Trauma Level I experience preferred - Travel experience preferred Description: Shift: Nights, 3x12 hours - Block Schedule Patient ratios: 1:6 Float required to units of equal acuity Number of rooms/beds: 36 Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience. Travel experience is preferred. Charting system experience required, specifically with Epic. Trauma Level I experience is preferred. Previous charge experience is a plus. Patient ratio experience is required. Skills required include: Accessing and managing ports BiPAP/CPAP management Blood product administration Cardiac telemetry Central line care and management Cerebrovascular accident management Feeding tube care and management Heparin protocols High flow nasal cannula management Interpretation of arterial blood gases Interpretation of dysrhythmias Isolation precautions and PPE Management of cardiac drips without titration Management of dysrhythmias Telemetry and remote monitoring Tracheostomy care and management Use of rapid response and code teams Wound care and wound vac management Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation.
