Job Summary
Telemetry (TELE) RN Night shift located in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to cardiac and general medical patients, including post-cardiac surgery and thoracotomy cases, as well as patients requiring telemonitoring. The RN will be responsible for managing titratable drips, reading centralized telemetry strips, and collaborating with respiratory therapists.

Job Details

• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Education Requirements: Valid licensure to practice as a registered nurse in the state
• Location Requirements: Must hold a current nursing license in the applicable state where the facility is located
• Years of Experience: 2 years of clinical experience as a registered nurse
• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, a minimum of 36 hours per week

• Shift Hours: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Additional Information:
  • Unit notes include a patient ratio of approximately 1:4-6 depending on acuity
  • The unit covers cardiac care, post-surgical monitoring, thoracotomies, cardiac gtts, atrial fibrillation, and general medical patients requiring telemetry monitoring
  • RNs are expected to troubleshoot Cpap, BiPap, and high flow respiratory equipment; respiratory therapy is available onsite
  • RN responsibilities include reading telemetry strips and managing titratable drips (excluding pressors, paralytics, and TPA)
  • The RN will participate in self-scheduling with some floating to other floors and must adhere to the dress code of galaxy blue scrubs
  • Orientation includes 1-2 shifts, with possible unit cancellations as per hospital policy
