Schedule

• Shift Options:Days or Nights Available
• Day Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
• Night Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Schedule: 3 x 12-Hour Shifts
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours per Week
• Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Must work any holiday that falls on your regularly scheduled shift

Job Summary

Ascension Sacred Heart Bay is seeking an experienced Telemetry Registered Nurse to join its Cardiovascular Unit. The RN will provide compassionate, evidence-based care to patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring while collaborating with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to telemetry and cardiovascular patients.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and promptly recognize and respond to rhythm changes.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings accurately.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Coordinate patient care with physicians, therapists, case management, and other healthcare professionals.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate documentation within the Cerner electronic medical record.
• Follow all hospital policies, infection prevention standards, and patient safety guidelines.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current BLS Certification required.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience preferred.
• Strong telemetry monitoring and cardiac patient care skills.
