Job Title: RN Telemetry I Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:30 PM - 07:00 AM Hours per Shift: 13 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Required Certifications: BLS, NIH Certification Must-Have: - Critical thinking skills - Decisive judgment - Ability to work with minimal supervision - Ability to work in a stressful environment Description: Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders. Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. This is a cardiac telemetry unit caring for all cardiac needs. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4-6. Utilization of virtual sitter monitoring is available as well as monitor techs to monitor those on telemetry. Travelers are required to work up to 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule period. Holiday requirements will be based on departmental needs. Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
