Job Details
Position: Registered Nurse (RN) in Telemetry specialty.
Location: Multiple campuses within the healthcare organization.
Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications, minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, valid RN license, and experience in telemetry/rhythm interpretation.
Responsibilities include managing various types of patients including respiratory, obstetric pending stress tests, COPD, CIWA, and chest pain, as well as troubleshooting and managing telemetry monitors and cardiac drips such as cardizem and amiodarone.
Charge nurses take assignments, and float-to-all-campus coverage is expected.
Orientation includes three unit-specific sessions across different campuses.
Shift times are 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with requests for block scheduling accommodated where possible.
Telemetry monitors are virtual, requiring RNs to read and interpret their own rhythm strips on GE monitors.
The hospital maintains a cancellation policy allowing up to four shifts per 13-week assignment and three shifts for shorter durations.
Charting is completed within the electronic medical record system, EPIC.
