Travel Nurse RN - Telemetry - $1,927 per week in Houston, TX

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Renal Telemetry Duration: 6 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Active RN License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Certification, NIHSS Must-Have: Candidates must have cardiac drip experience. Candidates need to be flexible on scheduling and willing to float. Previous travel experience is preferred, with a background in busy hospital settings. Description: The unit focuses on renal and neurology diseases. The population primarily consists of elderly patients over the age of 65. Nurses will care for a variety of patients, including those with end-stage renal disease, pre- and post-surgery patients, GI complications, as well as cardiac and hepatology patients. Nurses will perform various tasks such as blood transfusions, blood specimen collection, dressing changes, central line care, and foley catheter care. The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:5 or 1:6, with a patient care assistant ratio of 1:15. The unit has a capacity of 30 beds. Successful candidates will possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar setting. Epic charting system experience is required. Cancellation policy allows for the hospital to cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.
