Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of travel nursing experience managing continuous IV medications.
License:
Compact or State RN license required.
Certifications:
BLS, ACLS are required.
Must-Have:
Prior travel experience.
Experience managing cardiac drips, including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin.
Familiarity with diuretics like Bumex and Lasix.
Knowledge of anticoagulants, including Aggrastat, Argatroban, and Heparin.
Experience with insulin drips.
Basic arrhythmia knowledge and hemodynamic monitoring competencies.
Understanding of post-cardiac catheterization care.
Ability to manage a patient ratio of 1:5-6.
Description:
The position involves caring for adult and geriatric patients in a telemetry setting.
Responsibilities include managing cardiac drips and basic arrhythmia knowledge.
Nurses will also oversee patients with CHF, chest pain, renal issues, and respiratory conditions.
Surgical patient care includes those recovering from cholecystectomy, appendectomy, and other procedures.
Familiarity with telemetry systems and electronic medical record systems is preferred.
The role requires floating to similar units within the facility as needed.
Call requirements are rare, with a response time of 2 hours when necessary.
Holidays and weekends are typically scheduled, with travelers filling gaps as needed.
Compliance with onboarding and training protocols is mandatory for timely start.
