Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Telemetry Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum of 1 year travel experience License: Valid RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Experience managing continuous IV medications Experience with the following cardiac drips: Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin Experience with diuretics: Bumex, Lasix Experience with anticoagulants: Aggrastat, Argatroban, Heparin, Insulin drips Basic arrhythmia knowledge Hemodynamic monitoring experience Description: This position requires a registered nurse with experience in cardiac telemetry. The nurse will manage continuous IV medications and various cardiac drips. The patient population includes adults to geriatrics, primarily in overflow IMCU. Demonstrated skills in arrhythmia management, cardiac CHF, chest pain, renal and pulmonary issues are essential. Surgical experience with cholecystectomy, appendectomies, chest tubes, and biliary drains is required. The role will include the management of occasional vascular patients and post-cardiac catheterization care. Nurses will handle basic arrhythmia knowledge and various patients across the medical-surgical umbrella. The expected patient-to-nurse ratio will be between 1:5-6. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. Candidates are expected to work major holidays if they occur during the assignment period. Call requirements are rare, with a response time of two hours. The nurse will float within the facility as needed, within the scope of practice.
