Job Summary:
Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) Days Location unspecified. This position involves working in a short-term acute care facility with a focus on neurological and trauma patient care. The RN will be responsible for care on a neuro-telemetry unit, providing specialized nursing care for patients with neurological conditions, including post-surgical neurology patients and those with neurological diagnoses. The role requires proficiency in neuro assessments, NIH Stroke Scale, and telemetry monitoring.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 10/19/2026 and ending on 01/18/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Valid state license (compact license preferred), at least 1 year of clinical experience as a RN, neuro and telemetry experience, certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS, proficiency in BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tubes (Emerson/PleurEvac), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, neuro stepdown, pre/post neurosurgery care, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, spinal cord injury, telemetry, traumatic brain injury.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with multidisciplinary neuro protocols, JCAHO designation for stroke and epilepsy centers.
• Additional Information: This unit is designated as a stroke and neuroscience-specific unit, with specialized procedures including thrombectomy capabilities and Level 3 epilepsy center support. Candidate must be willing to float between units as needed and work assigned holidays. Prior neuro experience for specific requirements is necessary for some positions, with at least 6 months neuro experience for night shifts on select requests. Candidates should be prepared to communicate effectively and adhere to hospital protocols.
