TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Telemetry RN in Augusta, Georgia, 30901!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years minimum required License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS preferred Must-Have: Telemetry unit experience with adult and geriatric patient populations Ability to manage cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration Description: Minimum experience of 2 years required. First-time travelers are welcomed. The patient population includes adults to geriatrics. Diagnoses include CHF, MI/chest pain (pre- and post-cath), dysrhythmias (pre- and post-device implants), hypo-/hypertension, pleural effusion, sepsis, PE/DVT, and vascular issues. The nurse-patient ratio is 1:4-5. The average daily census is 35 with a total of 36 rooms. Familiarity with the Epic charting system is required. The unit utilizes Pyxis and SBARS. Scrub color is navy blue. Floating within the facility/scope of practice is required as needed. No on-call requirements are present. If one major holiday falls during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work. If two major holidays fall during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both holidays. If three major holidays fall during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Compliance must be fulfilled to start on time. Full compliance is necessary by the deadline to avoid delays in the start date. Candidates will be reviewed clinically to determine fit. The patient age groups include adults and geriatrics. The number of visits per day is zero. Additional interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary services. Special procedures and unit details will be provided during the onboarding process. Candidates must be capable of managing specific cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration. Expected competencies include the management of various respiratory devices and protocols related to cardiac care.
