Must-Have:
1 year of experience in cardiac telemetry.
Ability to read telemetry.
Experience working with CHF, chest pain, renal, and hemodialysis patients.
Experience with Amiodarone and Cardizem drips.
Experience with central lines such as hemodialysis catheters, ports, and PICCs.
Description:
Position involves providing patient care in a telemetry setting.
Candidates will work with a high acuity patient population.
Patient assignments may include individuals with CHF, chest pain, arrhythmias, respiratory issues, and renal complications.
Candidates may float to similar or lower acuity units as needed.
Successful candidates will demonstrate compassion, empathy, and strong teamwork.
Attention to detail in assessment and patient care is essential.
Physical requirements include the ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift, along with bending, lifting, and assistance with patient movement.
Positioning of patients and equipment requires a strong physical capability, including the ability to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs.
Candidates should be available for the entire week for orientation, which will occur during daytime hours prior to beginning night shifts.
Maintaining confidentiality and patient rights is a critical responsibility.
Responsibilities include evaluating the effectiveness of care provided and coordinating with other departments to optimize patient care.
