Must-Have Skills/Experience:
2 years of stepdown or ICU cardiac experience.
Proficiency in cardiac rhythm identification and management.
Description:
This position involves caring for critically ill patients pre- and post-intervention.
The RN will utilize the nursing process to provide patient care to this patient population.
Duties include managing pre/post cardiac catheterization lab patients, electrophysiology patients, and vascular patients.
The RN maintains accountability for patient care provided and evaluates the overall effectiveness of care delivered.
Coordination of patient care with other departments is essential.
Patient rights and confidentiality of patient information must be maintained.
Responsibilities must align with service standards and values.
Daily activities include performing direct patient care activities for all age groups.
This encompasses assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
Monitoring and coordinating patient care activities with ancillary departments is required to optimize patient comfort and outcomes.
The role involves working within established guidelines of nursing practice.
Physical requirements include standing and walking for significant portions of the shift.
Bending, stooping, lifting, and turning patients may be required with assistance.
Candidates may need to adapt to varying shifts and days as per patient care requirements.
Exposure to blood and body fluids is a high-risk factor in this role.
Physical demands include pushing, pulling, and gripping up to specified weights.
The RN will perform duties in a manner consistent with the mission and values.
Experience with TR bands and sheath removal is preferred.
Maintaining a professional demeanor and strong ethics are critical in this role.
Compassion, empathy, teamwork, attention to detail, reliability, and a strong work ethic are key qualities sought.
Dress Code:
Scrubs in designated color with closed-toe shoes.
Any attire outside these guidelines is unacceptable.
