Position involves performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions as per state Board of Nursing standards.
Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care, and monitors health status through ongoing data collection.
Provides health teaching and health counseling to patients.
Executes therapy and treatment that supports and restores life and well-being, directly or through consultation and delegation.
Refers patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed.
Reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans.
Documents in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
Uses available resources efficiently.
May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business need.
May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.
Required Skills & Experience: INDEPENDENT NURSING FUNCTIONS, DELEGATED MEDICAL FUNCTIONS, NURSING CARE, HEALTH DATA ASSESSMENT, HEALTH TEACHING.
Education: ASN (Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing) required; Bachelor's degree of Nursing preferred.
Certifications & Licensure: Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice required; BLS (American Heart Association); ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate for unit or service.
Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Minimum Experience: 0 years.
