Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse – Cardiac Telemetry – Georgia

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Georgia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 36-bed telemetry unit with average daily census of 35 patients. Patient ratio 1:4-5. Every other weekend required. Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed. Holiday coverage required per assignment length.

Highlights:

• Specialized cardiac telemetry unit treating CHF, MI/chest pain (pre- and post-cath), dysrhythmias (pre- and post-device implants), hypo-/hypertension, pleural effusion, sepsis, and PE/DVT/vascular conditions
• Epic electronic medical record system required; Pyxis and SBAR communication protocols utilized
• Adult to geriatric patient population with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• First-time travelers accepted with minimum 2 years RN experience
• Orientation provided with bi-weekly start schedule
• Maximum 7 days requested time off per contract (blackout dates apply for Spring Break: April 4-12)

Requirements:

• Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years registered nurse experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with patient ratios up to 1:5
• Must demonstrate competency managing cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration): milrinone, dobutamine, amiodarone, cardizem, lidocaine, bumex, and heparin
• Proficiency in cardiac telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Skills include central line management, chest tubes, feeding tubes, IV insulin protocols, PCA, post-cardiac procedures, and tracheostomy care
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Full compliance documentation required prior to start date
