Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring continuous cardiac and telemetry monitoring
  • Perform detailed patient assessments and monitor cardiac rhythms for abnormalities or changes
  • Interpret telemetry strips and promptly notify providers of significant rhythm changes
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and prescribed treatments safely and accurately
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
  • Collaborate with physicians, cardiologists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
  • Respond quickly to medical emergencies and changes in patient condition
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, cardiac health, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Follow infection prevention protocols, patient safety standards, and quality care guidelines
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting recovery and positive patient outcomes
Requirements
  • Active Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) License or Compact RN License
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry nursing experience
  • Current BLS Certification required
  • Current ACLS Certification required
  • NIH Stroke Scale Certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of cardiac monitoring, rhythm interpretation, and acute medical care
  • Excellent assessment, critical thinking, communication, and prioritization skills
  • Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospital setting
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional patient-centered care
