Travel Nurse RN - Telemetry - $2,074 per week in Freeport, IL

Job Title: Telemetry RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 7 PM to 7 AM Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Must have an active state license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - 2+ years of recent experience in telemetry nursing - Experience in cath lab post-recovery and stroke care is highly preferred - Must have drip experience Description: The department focuses on telemetry nursing. Common diagnoses include stroke, CHF, ACS, CAD, and arrhythmias. Nurses are required to care for post-heart catheterization patients. Patient ratios are 4-5 during days and 5-6 during nights. Telemetry monitoring is performed by the unit with nursing staff confirming strips. Charge nurses also have patient assignments. Certified nursing assistants are present and the ratio depends on patient acuity. Equipment used includes BiPAP and high flow devices. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. Nurses may float to ICU, medical-surgical units, and the emergency room as needed. Scrub color is flexible. A department-specific orientation will be provided.
