Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of Telemetry/Med-Surg experience
BLS required
NJ state or Compact RN license required and must be in hand at submission
First-time travelers accepted
Epic experience preferred
Experience with 1:6 patient ratios
Must be willing to float
Weekend coverage required every other weekend
50-mile radius rule; local candidates not accepted
All RTO must be provided at submission
Description:
Provide nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit.
Monitor patients using cardiac telemetry and recognize changes in cardiac rhythms.
Interpret and manage dysrhythmias and respond appropriately to cardiac emergencies.
Perform cardiac monitoring and emergency response interventions.
Provide IV therapy, peripheral line care, and medication administration.
Provide oxygen therapy and non-invasive airway management.
Maintain isolation precautions and follow appropriate PPE protocols.
Collaborate with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, physical therapy, rapid response, and other interdisciplinary teams.
Maintain accurate patient documentation and communicate changes in patient condition to the appropriate care team.
